The course rating is 73.0 and it has a slope rating of 134 on Bent grass. Designed by Seth Raynor, the Somerset golf course opened in 1919. It is understood that Stanley Thompson worked on renovations and updates to the course, along with his protege Robert (Bob) Moote, in 1949.
